We had a surprise snowstorm during Chinese New Years. Lin’an doesn’t usually get snow, or enough to build a snowman, but some artistic soul managed to sweep enough together to make this snowman. It’s not quite coal and a carrot, but they did a good job with what they had.

College has started and students have come back to school after being gone for 6 months, so I wasn’t surprised when a few students contacted me to ask if I was still on campus. But I was surprised when they said they wanted to see me and give me flowers.
