I'm on Lost Laowai!

I’ve recently become a contributor to Lost Laowai, and today my first post was published! (And it already got 5 comments, not bad!)
If you live in China (or are thinking of moving here) then you probably already know Lost Laowai. It’s been around for a long time and is a major web resource and gathering point for expats and sinophiles.  Ryan, the creator is also the creator of the China Blog Network, which I am also a member.
My first article is a review between the old and new Lonely Planet China guidebook. I guess you could call me old fashioned in that I still use a book to travel, even in this day and age, but it works for me. Another one of my articles will be published on Lost Laowai later this week. I don’t want to ruin the surprise, I’ll tell you it has something to do with prostitutes. Make sure to check back later in the week to read it.
Anyway, it is an honor to join the LL team. I’m a regular reader of the site and totally psyched to see my name under contributors list.  So please check it out! And if you have just found my website from Lost laowai, welcome! Pour a cup of tea, pull up a seat and make yourself comfortable.  You can subscribe to the RSS feed, or get the updates via email.

“Do You Like Bread?”

I passed by a friendly woman whose family I buy fruit from and stopped for a minute to chat. She was standing in front of a cooler she had dragged out from her store a little down a side street and she was selling cold watermelon cut up into containers
